September - November
Discover Svalbard in autumn, when the sun slowly disappears behind the horizon and the nights get longer and longer. The low sun bathes the landscape and the sky in wonderful colours, which can provide unique motifs, especially for photographers.
In October, hours-long sunrises and sunsets bathe the landscape in a very soft light, and the landscape is usually dry and sometimes already frozen for even longer hikes. October is also when the first snow usually falls and remains.
Whilst there is still daylight in October, November is much darker as it enters the dark season. From mid-November it is only dusk and the polar night falls over Spitsbergen - with complete darkness at the end of November.
In both months there is the chance to see spectacular Northern Lights dancing in green and red in the sky.
Prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure where nature and light provide an unrivalled backdrop. Welcome to the magical world of Svalbard, where the Northern Lights and the light of autumn offer a spectacular experience!
Welcome to Spitsbergen! We will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your accommodation in Longyearbyen. If arriving before 15:30, we will go on a guided tour of Longyearbyen on the same afternoon. Here we will get to know the northernmost settlement in the world and its surroundings in detail.

For groups we are happy to offer private tours, which can be freely designed in terms of content. Together we can put together a program exactly according to your wishes and ideas. A private tour is somewhat more expensive, but offers many advantages and privileges both in the program design, as well as in the implementation of the trip here on Svalbard.
