Svalbard in autumn

Welcome to Spitsbergen! We will pick you up at the airport and bring you to your accommodation in Longyearbyen. If arriving before 15:30, we will go on a guided tour of Longyearbyen on the same afternoon. Here we will get to know the northernmost settlement in the world and its surroundings in detail.

The area around Longyearbyen offers a variety of fantastic routes and peaks for hikes to suit all abilities. Depending on the group and your wishes, we will explore the wide valleys around Longyearbyen, look out for reindeer and foxes or, depending on the route, walk over a glacier and search for fossils. We will have lunch in the countryside with a wonderful view before setting off on our return journey.

Explore the beautiful tundra landscape of Adventdalen in a specially designed cart pulled by a team of dogs! You will greet the friendly animals and receive an introduction to the wagons and dogs. And off you go. On the roads you will cross the Adventdalen valley and explore the rich world of birds and reindeer. There will be stops along the way, with plenty of time for photos.

You will be equipped with an outer layer as well as gloves and boots. Hot drinks and cookies will be served.

Today we will go to Gruve 3, a former mine that is only 10 minutes away from Longyearbyen. You will be picked up at your hotel by our partner and driven there. On the panoramic drive, you can already admire another attraction - the global seed deposit. Our experienced partners will tell you exciting things about mining life and take you inside the mountain through old mine shafts. At Camp Barentz, away from the city, you can get a small insight into the breathtaking nature of Svalbard. Svalbard reindeer are often seen and, with a bit of luck, even ptarmigans and foxes.

One of the camp's buildings, the Barentz Hus, is a replica of the hut where the discoverer of Svalbard, Willem Barentz, spent the winter on Novaya Zemlya in 1596.

Drinks and homemade reindeer stew will be served. There will also be coffee straight from the campfire and dessert. Afterwards, you will learn lots of interesting facts during a presentation about the king of the Arctic, the polar bear. After the presentation, you will have time to take photos of the unique landscape before heading back to the city.

It is recommended to wear comfortable and warm outdoor clothing and shoes, as you will spend some time outside and the floor in the cabin can be cold. Clothes may smell of smoke after the tour

Farewell day. After an extensive breakfast, there will be some free time (depending on your flight schedule) in town. Then it is time to say goodbye. Our private airport transfer will take you to your scheduled flight and on your way back home.
