Our two co-living houses in Longyearbyen offer you the choice between a central location and a quiet retreat with a scenic view. In the town center, you’ll live right in the heart of it all, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a simple kitchen, and a co-working space in the same building – ideal for remote workers. About one kilometer away, the second house offers beautiful views over the valley, three bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, and a cozy living room. The hosts live upstairs and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We’re happy to take accommodation preferences into account, but we can’t guarantee placement – both houses offer comfort, connection, and an authentic Arctic experience.

Sofia, who grew up in Mexico, is the heart of our co-living community. She has already lived in co-livings all over the world and knows exactly what it takes to create a welcoming and lively atmosphere — and she's the one who brought Arctic Coliving to life. Together with Christine, who lives permanently on Svalbard, they make up our team and serve as your main points of contact — whether you need local tips, have a practical question, or are simply looking for someone to chat with. Beyond that, they regularly organize shared activities such as cooking evenings, bonfires on the beach, or lend a hand in planning hikes and dog-sledding tours. With the two of them, you quickly feel at home and find your footing in the Arctic with ease.

On the ground floor of the Polar Bear Lodge, you’ll find our cozy co-working space – the perfect spot to get things done while surrounded by Arctic charm. Several desks spread across two bright rooms offer plenty of space for focused work or casual exchange. Adjustable standing desks ensure comfortable, ergonomic working conditions, and a comfy lounge corner with coffee invites you to take inspiring breaks.
If needed, monitors and keyboards can be rented for a small additional fee – making sure you have everything you need for a productive day in the Far North.

Sofia, our dedicated host, is the heart of our co-living community. She's always sparking new ideas and bringing people together through shared activities that make everyday life a little more special. Whether you're in the mood to connect, unwind, or try something new – with Sofia around, there’s always something going on.
