    Svalbard at the sun festival

On this diverse and active tour, you’ll explore the stunning landscapes of Svalbard on foot, by dog sled, and snowmobile. Winter stretches well into May here, offering ideal conditions to discover snow-covered valleys, expansive glaciers, and peaceful mountain slopes. We’ll hike across the Arctic tundra, descend into shimmering ice caves, let eager huskies pull us through the snowy wilderness, and reach more remote regions by snowmobile.

A special highlight: On March 8th, Longyearbyen celebrates Solfest – the official return of the sun after nearly four months without a single sunbeam in town. Even though the days have gradually grown brighter, it’s only now that the sun finally reaches the valley floor again – and the moment is celebrated with songs, hot cocoa, and glowing faces. It's an emotional, symbolic event full of light, hope, and new beginnings – a perfect fit for this tour filled with Arctic magic.
