Svalbard at the Blue Hour

Welcome to Svalbard! Upon arrival at the airport, your German-speaking guide will greet you and accompany you to your accommodation in Longyearbyen. Already on the first day, you will get to know the diversity of the northernmost small town in the world on an exciting city tour. Feel the special atmosphere of the town and discover the treasures of the famous Svalbard Museum.

Experience a snow hike near Longyearbyen and be on one of Svalbard's impressive glaciers. Our route is set by the guide on a daily basis depending on snow and weather conditions. After the ascent, we enjoy a hot drink and a small lunch while taking in the breathtaking panorama of Longyearbyen and the landscape bathed in colour around us.

Today you will experience a dog sled tour in the vast, white wilderness of Svalbard. Spend the day with your own dog team, exploring nature and learning about the daily lives of huskies and handlers.

The dog teams are steered by teams of two through the snowy landscape. An almost silent glide through the Arctic; the grinding of the runners in the snow and the occasional bark of joy from the dogs make this experience unique. A warm lunch awaits halfway and you return to Longyearbyen in the late afternoon.

Off on the snowscooters! On this day, you will first be equipped with arctic-suitable thermal suits, boots and all other necessary equipment. After a detailed introduction to the use of the snowscooter, we start our tour to Elveneset, 30 km away.

The terrain is very flat at the beginning and becomes steeper, more curvy and a bit more challenging as the route progresses. An ideal route to get used to the snow and the snowscooters. The climb is worth it, as fantastic views await us north of Longyearbyen.

In some years, a beautiful ice cave forms in the Tellbreen, which we will also visit if possible.

Once again we set off with the snowmobiles to explore the eastern mountains and valleys around Longyearbyen. We drive all the way to the Tempelfjord and discover the breathtaking landscape around Villa Fredheim, where Spitsbergen's most famous trapper lived. Depending on the weather and snow conditions, we take detours and explore the diversity of the Arctic - from viewpoints to gorges and wide valleys. After lunch in nature, we make our way back to Longyearbyen.

After a hearty breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, there will be some free time in town. Then it's time to say goodbye. A private airport transfer will take you to your scheduled flight and on your way back home.
