A journey into the past!
Over the last 600 million years, the Spitsbergen archipelago has travelled a distance of almost 2.5 cm per year, shifting from 60° south latitude to the north polar region. Accordingly, residues from prehistoric times can still be found on Spitsbergen.
Discover fossils of various primeval plants in the glacial moraines and enjoy a tour of the Longyear Glacier.
On this half-day tour you will be accompanied by a German-speaking guide with many years of experience and all the necessary safety equipment. We can cater specifically to your wishes and flexibly adapt the tour to the weather conditions and the needs of the group.

The physical requirements can vary greatly depending on the season and the selected activity and tours. You don't need any special previous knowledge but for one or the other program you need a medium to good physical fitness to be able to participate in the tours.
We are happy to organize this tour on your desired date. A minimum of 4 people must participate or an appropriate surcharge must be paid.
For groups we are happy to offer private tours, which can be freely designed in terms of content. Together we can put together a program exactly according to your wishes and ideas. A private tour is somewhat more expensive, but offers many advantages and privileges both in the program design, as well as in the implementation of the trip here on Svalbard.
