May - November
Our sightseeing tour of Longyearbyen offers the opportunity to experience the world's northernmost settlement on foot. The town's colourful houses and unique sights from the coal mining era offer a special ambience that is not to be missed.
The walk through Longyearbyen takes you to the historical sites of the city. See, for example, the former seat of the governor of Svalbard or the striking Taubanesentrale, which towers over the city. In the past, coal from the mines was transported from here to the harbour.
Our experienced guides will not only tell you about arctic life back then, but also about how the inhabitants of Longyearbyen spend their work and leisure time in this extreme environment.
Our sightseeing tours are based on the landing times of the cruise ships and are offered in the morning and in the afternoon for 3 hours each.
Tour length: 1 Day

For groups we are happy to offer private tours, which can be freely designed in terms of content. Together we can put together a program exactly according to your wishes and ideas. A private tour is somewhat more expensive, but offers many advantages and privileges both in the program design, as well as in the implementation of the trip here on Svalbard.
