Welcome to Svalbard.

Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will greet and accompany you to your accommodation in Longyearbyen. Already on the first day, we will get to know the diversity of the northernmost settlement in the world on a detailed city tour.

Feel the special atmosphere of the place and discover the treasures of the famous Svalbard Museum.

The area surrounding Longyearbyen offers a variety of fantastic trails and peaks, providing hiking options for every skill level—from leisurely walks through the valleys to more challenging ascents with sweeping panoramic views.

Depending on the group and your preferences, we’ll explore the vast valleys around Longyearbyen and keep an eye out for reindeer and arctic foxes living in the wild here. Depending on the route we choose, we’ll hike across a glacier and search for fossils along the way that tell the story of Svalbard’s eventful geological past.

Our local guide adapts the pace and route to the group and shares fascinating insights into the region’s nature, geology, and history along the way.

Overnight in Longyearbyen.

You will spend the day with huskies. You get to know our four-legged friends, get to feed them, pet them and help harness them. With a summer version of the well-known dog sleds you will go out on wheels into Endalen. You drive on gravel roads through the arctic tundra, enjoy the very special atmosphere of being pulled through nature by dogs and meet a variety of animals.

Depending on the group and your wishes, we explore the wide valleys around Longyearbyen and keep a lookout together for reindeer and Arctic foxes living here in the wild. Depending on the chosen route, we may also walk across a glacier and search along the way for fossils that tell of Svalbard's eventful geological past. Our local guide adapts the pace and route to the group and shares fascinating insights about the nature, geology and history of the region along the way.

With a magnificent view, we enjoy a lunch out in the middle of nature and let the stillness and vastness of the Arctic landscape sink in, before setting off on the way back – full of impressions from a day in the wilderness of Svalbard.

Today after breakfast, we head to Gruve 3, a former coal mine located just about ten minutes from Longyearbyen. You will be picked up directly at your hotel by our partner and brought there comfortably. Already on the short panoramic drive, you can admire another attraction – the Global Seed Vault, where seeds from all over the world are safely stored for future generations.

Once you arrive at the mine, our experienced partners take you on a fascinating journey into the past. They share interesting facts and stories about the hard and demanding life of the miners and lead you deep into the heart of the mountain, through the old, original mine shafts. This gives you an authentic impression of the conditions under which coal was once extracted here.

If you like, you can borrow an original miner's suit and crawl through the narrow shafts yourself – a real adventure and the perfect opportunity to experience the life of a miner up close. In this way, a visit to Gruve 3 becomes a memorable encounter with the history of Svalbard.

Today we head out onto the Isfjord aboard a comfortable catamaran.Today we head out onto the Isfjord aboard a comfortable catamaran. On this roughly seven-hour boat tour, we sail to the Nordenskiöldbreen – the largest glacier in the Isfjord, whose mighty front reaches impressively down to the water.

In addition to this stunning natural spectacle, you also have the chance – depending on the season – to spot walruses, seals, whales and puffins, or with a great deal of luck even a polar bear.

The catamaran is spacious and very modern, with large panoramic windows through which you can comfortably enjoy Svalbard's impressive scenery from inside as well. On board, a light lunch awaits you, and of course there is also a toilet available. As a hybrid vessel, the catamaran can switch to its quiet electric motor near the glacier and the wildlife – this way we disturb the sensitive animal life as little as possible and experience the Arctic silence in all its beauty.

Farewell day.

After an extensive breakfast, there will be some free time in town, depending on your flight schedule. Then it is time to say goodbye.

Our private airport transfer will take you to your scheduled flight and on your way back home.
