The right boots for your adventure

Rubber boots are required for all Svalbard boat expeditions, as the way in and out of the boats is often through the water - jetties are rare and are only available in the settlements.

With us you can rent high-quality rubber boots for your Svalbard expedition. The boots are well insulated and, thanks to a good tread, can also be used for shorter hikes. They provide sufficient support and stability. In addition, these boots can be adjusted in size at the calf to fit your feet.

We offer Aigle Parcours 2 ISO boots in sizes ranging from EU 36 to 50. It's best to book a size larger than you normally wear. That way there is still enough room for warm socks.

A pair costs NOK 690 (approx. 58 EUR) for the entire duration of the expedition. The rubber boots can be collected directly from us at the Spitzbergen Reisen office in the centre of Longyearbyen on the day of embarkation. As the ships usually welcome guests on board around 16:00, the boots can be collected directly before that between 3 and 4 PM. Please return the boots until 11AM.

If the boots are lost or not returned, we reserve the right to charge up to NOK 2,500 as compensation. In case of late return we charge NOK 250,- per additional day.
