With this tour you will experience the rich history of Longyearbyen as well as the unique nature of Svalbard in a single day.
During the sightseeing with our minibus you will get a lot of exciting information about the history, geology, fauna, flora, climate and today's life on Svalbard. We stop at the Arctic Noah's Ark, the Global Seed Vault, where seeds of all the world's crops are safely stored in a tunnel in the permafrost. From there you have the best view of Longyearbyen Airport - one of the most spectacular airports in Europe. We drive up into the Advent Valley to Longyearbyen's only operating coal mine and the EISCAT research radar.
Our hike takes us up to one of the peaks around Longyearbyen. From here you have a wonderful view over the arctic landscape of Svalbard. Depending on the snow and weather conditions, the guide decides on the route on a daily basis. Once at the top, we take a short break and enjoy the view before slowly making our way back to Longyearbyen.

No special previous knowledge is needed but a medium level of fitness is required to participate in this tour.

For groups we are happy to offer private tours, which can be freely designed in terms of content. Together we can put together a program exactly according to your wishes and ideas. A private tour is somewhat more expensive, but offers many advantages and privileges both in the program design, as well as in the implementation of the trip here on Svalbard.
