Dive into Polar-Expedition

March - May

On this tour, you will learn basic knowledge about polar expedition. Relatively short distances between 8km and maximum 15 km per day, allow us to not just gain experience in traveling on skis through untouched nature but also learn a lot of other usefull winter skills. How to pack your pulka (sledge for equipment), errect your tent but also build emercency shelters in the snow. How to use your fuel stove, navigate in nature and evaluate avalanche and weather risks.

Day 1

Arrival, transfer to your accommodation and city tour

Welcome to Svalbard. We will pick you up at the airport in Longyearbyen and bring you to your accommodation. Depending on the flight connection, we will go on a guided tour of Longyearbyen the same afternoon and get to know the northernmost settlement in the world and its surroundings in detail. If you arrive at night, the city tour will take place the next morning.

A private tour is somewhat more expensive, but offers many advantages and privileges both in the program design, as well as in the implementation of the trip here on Svalbard.

Program events are always weather dependent and the implementation of scheduled activities may be modified or cancelled due to safety concerns.

A valid passport and travel health insurance must be present.

This tour guarantees expedition character. From time to time, you will have to lend a hand and help out.

It is recommended to get an additional travel insurance that includes Covid-19 and related measures (also a quarantine through no fault of your own e.g. or a travel warning of the Foreign Office).

If the minimum number of participants is not reached one month before the start of the tour, we cannot carry out the tour according to the program and price. In this case we will discuss the details and possibilities with you personally.
