Discover Spitsbergen in a small private group! On this tour we head out into the wilderness together, and let our guide decide on a day-to-day basis which route is best for that day. We will drive through wide valleys, enjoy magnificent views, pass by fjords that may be frozen, and with a little luck, see wild animals. We will drive in the direction where the weather conditions are best and where we can probably experience the most.

After breakfast we start our journey. We will be equipped with arctic thermal suits, boots, gloves and all other necessary equipment and after a detailed introduction into the handling of the snowmobile we will start our tour. Depending on snow and weather conditions we will drive far out into nature through wide valleys, over mountain passes and glaciers. After lunch and a hot drink in the nature we will come back to Longyearbyen.

Requirement

The physical requirements can vary greatly depending on the season and the selected activity and tours. You don't need any special previous knowledge but for one or the other program you need a medium to good physical fitness to be able to participate in the tours.

Program activities are always weather dependent and the implementation of scheduled activities may be changed or cancelled due to safety concerns.

We are happy to organize this tour on your desired date. A minimum of 4 people must participate or an appropriate surcharge must be paid.

Private tour:

For groups we are happy to offer private tours, which can be freely designed in terms of content. Together we can put together a program exactly according to your wishes and ideas. A private tour is somewhat more expensive, but offers many advantages and privileges both in the program design, as well as in the implementation of the trip here on Svalbard.

Information

Program events are always weather dependent and the implementation of scheduled activities may be modified or cancelled due to safety concerns.

A valid passport and travel health insurance must be present.

To drive a snowmobile you need a valid class B driver's license under the "Vienna Convention on Road Traffic of 1968" act. The driver's license must always be carried with you when we are out and about with the snowmobiles.

It is recommended to get an additional travel insurance that includes Covid-19 and related measures (also a quarantine through no fault of your own e.g. or a travel warning of the Foreign Office).

In Norway and Svalbard we have a 0‰ alcohol tolerance for scooter rides. If this is not respected, you cannot participate in the tour and you are not entitled to a refund.
